The same success story was repeated in North America. It was on Jan 24, 2007 that Sony Computer Entertainment declared that it would launch PlayStation 3 in Europe, Australia and Middle East by March 23 that same year. It was a successful launch in March 2007 and a huge response was witnessed. Over 600000 PS3 systems were sold in just 2 days. In Singapore it was launched on March 07, 2007. While in South Korea PlayStation 3 was released on June 16, 2007. PS3 which was launched in South Korea had 80 GB of hard disk and IPTV.

Sony PlayStation 3 has been powered with 3.2 MHZ CPU and 550 MHZ GPU. Sony PlayStation 3 comes in 5 various hardware configurations and those are basically classified on the basis of their internal hard drive viz. 20 GB, 40 GB, 60 GB, 80 GB and 160 GB. All models have SATA hard drive (included 20, 40, 60 and 80). All PS3 models are easy to connect to your personal computer via USB port. However, all the models except 40 GB and 180 GB have 4 USB ports. Wi-Fi compatibility is another advantage of PS3 consoles, because of which you can have the ultimate gaming experience of playing games online. Except the 40 GB model all the other models of PlayStation 3 are Wi-Fi compatible. Some of the models like 60 GB and 80 GB have flash card readers.
